National University Civil Protection of Ukraine is a leading higher educational institution of the State Service of Ukraine for Emergency Situations, with IV level of accreditation with a certificate validity period until 01.07.2023.

Applicants who have expressed a desire to study at the National University of Civil Protection of Ukraine on a full-time course at the expense of the state order, in order to register the personal file of a candidate for training, personally apply with a written application to the bodies and divisions of the Social Security Service of Ukraine at the place of residence from January 1 to June 1 of the year of admission ... Applicants - future cadets - must (except for VNO) take an exam at the university in physical training.

To provide classes with the use of computer technology, there are 11 computer classes at the university, which have the possibility of high-speed access to the global Internet, Email and access to a local computer network. The hostel on the territory of the university has its own computer network with free Internet access. For easy access to local network and Internet resources most of campus covered wireless network Wi-Fi, especially the territory of lecture rooms, libraries. The university has equipped classrooms with modern electronic teaching aids: interactive complexes based on interactive whiteboards, multimedia projectors, laptops and sound systems. Twelve classrooms are permanently equipped with smart TVs, which also provide great opportunities for an interactive educational process. For use in classrooms technical means training, not equipped with stationary multimedia complexes, there are mobile complexes that can be used in any classroom of the university. University specialists widely use modern IT technologies to create methodological multimedia interactive content. The university has its own media studio, where multimedia educational and methodological materials are created: video lectures, films and multimedia materials for electronic textbooks and manuals, software simulators for the formation of decision-making skills by heads of structural divisions of the DSNS.

The university widely uses technologies of video conferencing, webcasting and webinars to provide scientific and practical conferences and any events, thanks to which interuniversity and international relations of the university are spread.

The educational institution has 98 modern classrooms, including 14 lecture halls, 22 specialized classes, 8 stationary computer classes, 21 research laboratories. For today studying proccess provide 176 candidates of sciences and 40 doctors of sciences.

The material and technical base of the university allows to train up to 3000 cadets and full-time students. Every year since February, preparatory courses in the Ukrainian language and literature, as well as physical training, have been working.

The NUZU Library has spacious modern facilities with total area 495 sq. m; for the convenience of readers on the street Bavarskaya, 7, its branch was created. At the service of users are 5 subscriptions (2 subscriptions of educational literature, 2 subscriptions fiction and subscription scientific literature), 3 reading rooms for 200 seats, equipped with personal computers for using the electronic library with Internet access. Starting from the second year of training, cadets serve in the training fire and rescue unit (UPSCH), which works in parallel with the city fire and rescue units and participates in the elimination of the consequences of emergencies. The car park of the UPSCh includes 12 pieces of equipment. Along with domestic cars, special equipment from Germany works, which makes it possible for cadets to practice practical skills in the elimination of emergencies according to European standards.

Students and cadets have the opportunity to study at the military department of training reserve officers.
