1. GRADES AND SIZES

1.1. Depending on the purpose and quality indicators, wrapping paper should be produced in nine grades:

A - from sulfate unbleached pulp;

B - from sulfate wrapping pulp;

B - from sulfite unbleached pulp;

G - from sulfite wrapping pulp and wood pulp;

About 1 - from sulfate, sulfite bleached pulp;

O 2 - from sulfate, sulfite bleached pulp, sulfite unbleached pulp and wood pulp;

D - from unbleached pulp, semi-pulp and wood pulp;

E - from waste paper, unbleached pulp and fibrous waste from pulp and paper production.

F - the composition is not standardized.

1.2. Paper grades V, G, E and G, designed for packaging foodstuffs and medicines, must be made with a composite composition, approved by the Ministry of Health of the USSR.

1.3. Paper must be produced in rolls and sheets. The width of the rolls and the dimensions of the sheet paper are set by agreement between the manufacturer and the consumer.

Limit deviations for paper sizes of all brands should not exceed± 5 mm, in paper intended for processing on automatic machines -± 2 mm.

2. TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS

2.1a. Paper must be manufactured in accordance with the requirements of this standard according to the technological regulations approved in the prescribed manner.

2.3. Paper is produced by machine, single-sided and double-sided smoothness.

2.4. Paper should be made in natural fiber color or dyed.

For packaging bulk food products, it is allowed to use paper dyed in various colors with dyes approved by the USSR Ministry of Health; for packaging other food products, the use of colored paper is not allowed.

2.5. Paper grades V, D, O 1 and O 2, intended for printing, must be produced with an ash content of at least 8% and a breaking length of at least 1700 m.

2.5a. By agreement with the consumer, it is allowed to produce paper grades A and E with a moisture content of up to 11%.

2.6. Wrinkles, tears, holes that cannot be detected during the rewinding process are allowed in roll paper if the mass of sheets with such defects, determined by GOST 13525.5-68, does not exceed 5%, and in roll paper intended for processing: on food industry machines - 3%.

2.7. For paper intended for recycling in automatic machines, the winding of the roll paper should be uniform and tight., the cut edges must be even and clean.

2.8. The number of breaks in a roll should not exceed five, and in a roll of paper intended for processing in food industry machines, it should not exceed three.

2.9. The places of breaks in paper intended for processing on automatic machines must be glued together and marked with color signals visible from the end of the roll.

3. ACCEPTANCE

3.1. Batch definition and sample size - by G OST 8047-78.

3.2. If unsatisfactory test results are obtained for at least one of the indicators, repeated tests are carried out on it on a double sample from the same batch.

The retest results apply to the entire lot.

4. TEST METHODS

4.1a. Sampling and preparation for testing - according to GOST 8047-78.

4.1. Paper conditioning before testing and tests are carried out according to GOST 13523-78 at relative air humidity (50± 2) % and temperature (23± 1) ° WITH.

The duration of conditioning is at least 2 hours.

5. PACKAGING, LABELING, TRANSPORT AND STORAGE

5.1. Packaging, marking, storage and transportation - according to GOST 1641-75 with the following addition:

5. 2. Roll diameter must be at least 50 cm. At the request of consumers, a roll diameter of at least 35 cm is allowed, which is not intended for processing on automatic machines.
