What to Consider

The date of conservation of peas should coincide with the spring or summer harvest. This is an additional guarantee that fresh and not reconstituted green peas were used.

In addition to green peas, only salt, sugar and water should be included in the canned product.

Turbidity of the liquid is not a sign of poor quality, but only indicates the presence of starch in green peas.

Contraindications and harm

The diet on green peas is not suitable for those who suffer from flatulence and gout. This completes the contraindications.

At the same time, it should be noted that a small amount of peas, especially canned ones, can be included in the diet for almost everyone.

From ordinary peas, you can cook a wide variety of dishes that will bring a lot of benefits to your body. Few people know that peas are a storehouse of vitamins and minerals, as well as a faithful helper for losing weight. Let's look at this plant in more detail, finding out whether it is possible to eat peas while losing weight.

Is it possible to eat peas while losing weight

As already noted, there are many options for pea dishes. All of them have an unusual taste, as well as usefulness.

Even a superficial description of peas is enough to make sure of its healing properties. This leguminous plant is perfectly absorbed by the body, to some extent it is a fat-burning product. Peas can cure some diseases, and at the same time practically without harming the body. Everything is good in moderation - this is the main rule of successful weight loss and recovery.

Most of all, peas contain vitamins of group B. Also in small concentrations are vitamins A, E, K, PP. In one small pea, such useful elements and substances are combined: K, Mg, P, Ca, Ch, as well as starch, fiber, nickel, selenium, etc. Thus, peas are one of the richest foods in trace elements.

Vegetable protein is also found in legumes. This makes the product one of the most nutritious, in some cases it can be compared with meat.

It is worth noting that canned peas have the best nutritional qualities, not counting, of course, fresh ones. In the dried product, some of the vitamins are lost, making peas less useful.

Peas on a diet: calories and glycemic index

Plant foods are mostly low in calories. That is why there are many diets on vegetables and fruits. However, peas are an exception. 100 grams of dry product contains about 298 kcal, which is by no means a lot. However, it is worth noting the fact that the calorie content changes significantly after processing peas.

The most popular pea dish is mashed potatoes. The recipe is below. During heat treatments, and not only, the calorie content is reduced to 100 Kcal per 100 grams of product. Almost three times. Thus, you can safely use pea puree without fear for your figure. Various other ingredients can be added to the dish, but with caution, as they may be too nutritious.

The glycemic index of peas is 25 units, but this is in dry form. Fresh peas have a GI of 50. If you take Turkish fresh peas, then the index is 30.

Use peas wisely. A large amount of it can disrupt the digestive process: slow down the digestion of food, irritate the mucous membrane of the stomach and intestines. An increase in the concentration of urinary salts is also possible, since peas are rich in purines. In this regard, it is not recommended to “lean” on pea dishes for the elderly and gout patients. But it has been observed that regular consumption of legumes reduces the risk of developing heart disease by almost 80%!

Peas on the Kremlin diet

The Kremlin diet is one of the most popular. On the Internet there is a table of foods that are allowed during this diet. The use of shelled peas, green peas, as well as pea soup is allowed. Pea porridge will have to be abandoned.

Previously, the Kremlin diet was in some way classified: its recipe was kept secret. It is believed that this is due to the fact that such a diet was specially designed for astronauts and military personnel. But this is just guesswork.

The main feature of the diet is a protein diet. Therefore, the consumption of meat, including fatty pork, is allowed, but in small quantities. Minus - you have to give up sugar, flour, potatoes and rice. It will be especially difficult without the first product, because many people like to treat themselves to a cup of tea or coffee with sugar.

How to cook boiled peas

It was noted above that properly cooked peas are the key to successful weight loss, because food processing methods directly affect calorie content. Cooking peas is not difficult, but still has its own characteristics.

The first step before cooking is to soak the peas so that they cook faster and are a little softer. This procedure should be performed only in cold water. Soaking time is about seven hours. It is ideal to leave the peas overnight. Please note, do not soak the peas for more than twelve hours, as they may turn sour.

If you want a pronounced smell of pea dishes, then soaking is not necessary.

Boiled water will be a signal for cooking peas: it should be at least. If there is a lot of liquid left, then open the lid of the pan even more to speed up the evaporation process. But in no case do not increase the gas - this can only spoil everything.

You need to salt the peas at the end of cooking, and not at the beginning. So the porridge will cook faster. Salt is known to attract water. Therefore, the water will boil away more slowly.

For better taste, you can add a little butter to the pan. And if you drop vegetable, the cooking process will speed up.

Pea mash

There are many variations of pea puree. Let's take a look at the most interesting ones.

To prepare the spicy puree you will need:

  • a glass of peas;
  • several glasses of water;
  • small carrots;
  • dill, parsley and other herbs to decorate the dish;
  • clove of garlic;
  • three tablespoons of olive oil;
  • salt.

The preparation is the following.

  1. Rinse the peas and then soak for half a day.
  2. Fill the beans with running water, and put on the stove, setting the maximum fire. When the water boils, the fire should be reduced. Don't forget to open the lid.
  3. If you are cooking old peas, add half a teaspoon of soda after an hour of cooking. So it will melt faster.
  4. Cooking takes approximately two hours, but may take longer. If there is any doubt about the readiness of the dish, add a glass of hot water, leaving it on low heat for another twenty or thirty minutes. At the end, you can cover the dish with a lid so that the porridge “reaches” the desired softness due to its own temperature. Then it remains only to ceiling.
  5. Using a blender or coffee grinder, grind pre-peeled vegetables (carrots, garlic and parsley). You can also use a meat grinder for these purposes.
  6. Next, pour some dressing into mashed potatoes, salt and pepper to taste. Also drizzle with oil.

Green peas - contraindications

Even to help in losing weight, the fruits of a representative of the legume family are not recommended for some people to eat. Pea contraindications imply a complete rejection of the use of this product. So, peas should not be consumed with such signs:

  • pregnancy, lactation;
  • diseases of the gastrointestinal tract;
  • cholecystitis;
  • gout;
  • urolithiasis disease;
  • nephritis;
  • allergic reaction to the product;
  • diabetes;
  • age up to 3 years and over 60 years.

Wise ancestors also knew about the healing properties of peas: the great Hippocrates treated them with anemia, obesity, diseases of the heart and thyroid gland. Peas were treated with invariable respect in Russia, where in the middle lane it ripened in the last ten days of August. Today, in an era of food abundance, the modest pea is almost forgotten. And in vain!

It is a pity, but today many people know only the anecdotal side of the impact of peas on the gastrointestinal tract, which is why its nutritional value and taste are completely ignored. Let's try to restore historical justice in relation to the most ancient product.

From the royal table

Peas have long been considered not only a tasty and healthy product, but also a medicinal plant. A decoction of the leaves and pods was used to dissolve kidney and bladder stones. Dried ground pea powder is an excellent remedy for constipation. The best (and fastest) way to get rid of heartburn is to chew on a few boiled peas. Tea from rhizomes of peas helps to strengthen memory. A mask of pea flour is a great tool for cleansing the skin of acne and blackheads. Modern studies have shown that regular consumption of peas reduces the risk of cancer and diseases of the cardiovascular system.

Do you think that pea porridge and stew are from an unpretentious peasant menu? Not at all. In medieval France, pea dishes were always present on the royal table. Peas were honored in the Middle Kingdom, in India and Tibet - liquid pea soup was always given to the sick in order to purify the blood and speed up recovery. It was also believed that peas remove excess bile and excess fat from the body (and modern research confirms this). In Germany in the 19th century, peas were considered not only tasty, but also strategically important food: steamed peas with cracklings (fried lard) were served on the table both in the Kaiser's palace and in a roadside inn, and hearty and delicious pea sausage was included in the diet of German soldiers. and the Spaniards are still figuring out who and where was the first to cook pea soup with ham - both countries consider this delicacy a national dish. Russia, Poland, Ukraine and Slovenia dispute the primacy in the invention of pea jelly (the calorie content of this dish can be judged by its ancient Slavic name - "sat"). And no one doubts the origin of pease pudding - pea pudding: it obviously comes from Britain.

Composition and nutritional value

There are three types of peas:

sugar (fresh, from the garden) - low-calorie, very useful;

shelling (the one from which we prepare the soup) - contains a lot of starch, very high-calorie;

brain (in a tin) - contains sugar, but low in calories.

Peas have the highest nutritional value: they contain mineral salts, iron, iodine, magnesium, zinc, selenium, a huge amount of B vitamins, as well as vitamins A, PP, C, E, calcium, phosphorus and potassium (thanks to potassium, excess liquid). Vegetable pea protein consists of amino acids that are very important for the body - cystine, lysine, tryptophan, methionine and other necessary animal proteins. As a source of protein, peas may well replace meat, while it is much better digested and absorbed. And in terms of calories, peas even surpass beef. No wonder peas are so popular in countries with vegetarian food traditions, especially in India and Sri Lanka.

Myths about peas

The healthiest peas are fresh or frozen. In second place - dried, closes the top three canned. When choosing peas, pay attention to the color: quality peas should be bright yellow or green. The composition of canned peas should include only 4 ingredients: peas, water, sugar and salt. It is better to store dry peas in a glass jar. Sprinkle a little salt on the bottom, and bugs will not start in the peas. Store fresh peas in the refrigerator.

The main prejudice against peas is due to the fact that increased flatulence is considered to be an invariable companion of the use of this product. However, the danger of a "gas attack" is greatly exaggerated.

Firstly, "pea syndrome" affects mainly people with an oversensitive stomach and any diseases of the gastrointestinal tract.

Secondly, only thick skins of mature shelling peas have an irritating effect on the gastrointestinal mucosa. Before cooking, it is enough to soak dry peas for several hours in cold water to neutralize "explosive" ones.

Thirdly, green peas are completely safe, as is mashed peas, which do not contain "dangerous" skins.

Another myth: peas make you fat. Indeed, those who monitor their weight should be on the alert with peas - they are quite high in calories. 100 grams of peas contain 303-323 kcal - twice as much as potatoes! However, this applies only to dry peas - whole or shelled. So those who want to lose weight are not at all obliged to exclude peas from their menu - it is enough to prefer dishes from fresh, fresh-frozen or canned peas, in which there are very few calories: 100 g of green peas - 72 kcal, and canned - only 47 kcal! Agree, nice numbers!

  • a glass of peas;
  • several glasses of water;
  • small carrots;
  • dill, parsley and other herbs to decorate the dish;
  • clove of garlic;
  • three tablespoons of olive oil;

Pea porridge on a diet

Few people know, but pea porridge is the same puree. Having considered spicy porridge, we would like to present you another Bulgarian pea puree recipe.

  2. First, set a large fire for cooking, after boiling the water, reduce it.
  3. In the meantime, while the peas are cooking, you can do the vegetables: cut the onion into rings, and grate the carrots on a medium grater, but before that, peel the vegetables.
  4. Add oil to the peas first, and only then the cooked vegetables.
  5. Peel potatoes and cut as small as possible. Put in a bowl of porridge about an hour after you start cooking the beans.

Cooking.

  2. Next, pour the cereal into the previously prepared broth.

This dish has a low calorie content: about 60 kcal per 100 grams.

To improve the taste of the soup, you can add pieces of chicken breast during the cooking process. It contains few calories, so you don't have to worry about your figure.

canned peas for weight loss

Canned peas are a truly healthy product. It is in this form that it retains its beneficial properties and vitamins.

Canned beans contribute to:

  • increase immunity;
  • strengthening the walls of blood vessels;
  • preventing the development of hypertension;
  • improvement in cardiac performance.

Peas can be used on almost any diet: both therapeutic and for weight loss. With a dietary diet, peas compensate for the lack of vitamins, especially if the food system is very rigid and prohibits many foods that are necessary for the normal functioning of the body. In addition, canned peas dampen the feeling of hunger, as they are a nutritious product.

When buying a product, pay attention to the composition and expiration date, because there will be no benefit from low-quality peas, even if not expired.

The calorie content of canned peas is 53 kcal per 100 grams of product. This makes dishes with its use the most low-calorie. Thus, effective and, most importantly, satisfying weight loss is guaranteed. However, you do not need to overeat peas, because there are contraindications that were mentioned at the beginning of the article.

vesdoloi.ru

A person who cares about his health and watches what he eats at the table must definitely allocate a place in his diet for peas. This legume has long been known for its taste, nutritional, dietary and health properties.

What is useful peas

It is very rich in B vitamins, including niacin, better known as vitamin PP, which normalizes cholesterol levels, is extremely useful for blood vessels and the heart, and is simply necessary for diabetics, as it successfully breaks down fats and sugar, converting them into energy. No less valuable is selenium, which is also enough in peas. This element prevents the entry and accumulation of dangerous radioactive metals in humans, which makes peas an effective anticarcinogen.

However, peas themselves are a high-calorie product. Its peeled form contains 298 kcal per 100 g. If, of course, you cook pea puree, the calorie content will be lower, but still this legume remains quite nutritious.

In what form is it eaten

Most often - boiled. Porridges, soups and mashed potatoes are made from peas. In Russia, pea jelly was very popular, and in Germany - sausage from it. They also make flour and cereals from peas; in canned form, it participates in a huge number of salads or as an "accessory" to meat and poultry.

Peas are often dried. It is this type of this legume that is called shelled. Dried peas are naturally not eaten; this is just for longer storage.

Fresh peas are mainly eaten in early summer when they are young. On the one hand, when fresh, it is the richest in vitamins; on the other hand, it can complicate digestion and irritate the walls of the intestines and stomach.

Peas from a dietary point of view

For those who want to lose weight, it will have to be treated with caution. Boiled peas, of course, are not as “heavy” as dried ones. It is quite possible to prepare pea puree, the calorie content of which will be not almost 300, but only 130 kcal per hundred grams. However, potatoes in this form will “tighten” by only 77, unless, of course, you cook it on water and without the luxuries of butter, cracklings, and the like.

However, in this form, this valuable legume is digested very easily. Therefore, weakened people are often recommended pea puree; its calorie content will help to quickly restore strength without harming the digestive system (unless, of course, you are prone to flatulence - in which case it will intensify).

How to reduce nutrition

In principle, pea puree is prepared only on water, with salt and vegetable (of any origin) oil. You can add spices that you especially like. If you leave only water, seasonings and salt, the calorie content of pea puree on water will drop to 117 kcal, and those who follow harmony can treat themselves to this dish more often.

However, those who are on a diet want to eat delicious food. Yes, and constantly denying yourself pleasant sensations is boring and sad. Therefore, such "sufferers" have developed a dietary pea puree soup, the calorie content of which fully meets the requirements of the chosen abstinence, but at the same time is very tasty.

First of all, dry peas are replaced with frozen ones - they are both lower in calories and cook faster. For 400 g of beans, you need a spoonful of sugar to keep a beautiful color. Peas are poured with cold water and boiled for only a quarter of an hour with chopped parsley added. The prepared base is mashed, half a glass of low-fat cream is added and heated to a boil. Salt and spices - as you like.

Unlike how much pea puree “weighs”, the calorie content of such a soup is only 33 kcal - and there is nothing to talk about! Anyone who wants to make it a little tastier and is not afraid to increase satiety to 50 can put a couple of pieces of lean meat (preferably chicken) on their plate.

Many women, and even men, have been on a diet more than once in order to get rid of extra pounds. Often, food restrictions lead to premature breakdowns, starvation, discomfort and complications of the digestive system. Such consequences are caused by the fact that those who want to lose weight choose those diets where they need to eat less, thinking that this way they will lose weight faster. But this is a mistake, the body should not suffer. One of the standard, most common, harmless diets is peas, as well as the replacement of individual dishes with peas. But what is the effectiveness of this product?

Benefits for weight loss

Peas are a plant whose fruits - small green grains - are often eaten by vegetarians who want to lose weight and other people because of its original rich taste that adorns salads and other dishes.

Peas have been an integral part of the human diet since time immemorial. Due to its high nutritional value, it is widely used in various cuisines around the world.

The popularity of peas in the kitchen is due to the composition of the product rich in useful substances:

  • Vitamins of groups B, A, E, K, PP.
  • Vitamin C.
  • vegetable protein.
  • Flavonoids.
  • Cellulose.
  • Carotene.
  • Starch.
  • Phosphorus.
  • Calcium.
  • Potassium.
  • Magnesium.
  • Iron.
  • Fluorine.
  • Chromium.
  • Nickel.
  • Selenium.
  • Lecithin.
  • Choline.
  • Methionine.

The benefits of peas for the body are as follows:

  • Prevention of cardiovascular diseases.
  • Improved blood clotting.
  • Normalization of pressure.
  • Strengthening the heart muscle.
  • Saturation of cells and tissues with oxygen.
  • Decreased acidity in the stomach.
  • Prevention of the appearance of tumors.
  • Slowing down the aging process.
  • Muscle strengthening.
  • Giving energy, toning the body.

You can get rid of excess weight with the help of peas that are familiar to us. In addition to the pleasant taste, it is very nutritious and has many useful properties.

In the fight against extra pounds, the beneficial properties of peas are aimed at providing the following actions:

  • Removal of excess fluid.
  • Normalization of fat metabolism.
  • Acceleration of metabolism.
  • Purification of slags and heavy metals.
  • Prevention of deposits of fat on the liver.
  • Saturation of the body, reducing the feeling of hunger.

Due to the complex effect of peas on the body, during the pea diet, you can get rid of 3 to 10 kg per week.

Features of heat treatment

The calorie content of fresh peas is 81 kcal per 100 grams, which contains:

  • Proteins - 5.3 g.
  • Fats - 0.2 g.
  • Carbohydrates - 10.1 g.

At the same time, dry peas are almost 3 times more nutritious than fresh ones - 298 kcal per 100 grams.

The most popular dish during weight loss is pea puree, the calorie content of which is up to 100 kcal per 100 grams, as well as porridge - 90 kcal. Dishes include:

  • Proteins - 6.2 g.
  • Fats - 0.6 g.
  • Carbohydrates - 16 g.

These two dishes are prepared on the basis of dry peas, but please note that heat treatment allows you to reduce the calorie content of the product by almost three times, but at the same time preserve its beneficial properties.

The leader in the minimum calorie content of this product is canned peas - 55 kcal per 100 grams.

If we talk about providing the maximum benefit from the product, then we can assume that only fresh peas retain all their unique properties that have a beneficial effect on the body, as well as promote weight loss. But any heat treatment of this product has practically no effect on the useful composition of peas. To add variety to the daily diet on a pea diet, fresh peas are often used as a snack, mashed potatoes and cereals based on dry peas, and a canned product is added to salads.

How to cook

To comply with pea diets, you need to know a few recipes that will diversify your diet. There are also general recommendations for cooking pea dishes:

  1. Use only dry peas for making porridge, mashed potatoes.
  2. Try to wash the peas 5 to 7 times.
  3. Leave the peas overnight in the water. Soaking the peas overnight is necessary, as by morning they will swell, become softer, which will affect the taste characteristics of the dish.
  4. Do not salt the water before boiling the peas, only at the end, otherwise the peas will “harden”.
  5. It is not necessary to cover the pot during cooking.
  6. You should constantly monitor the process of cooking peas, as it can "escape".
  7. If the water boils away, you need to add the same amount of boiling water to the peas.

Pea porridge

We wash one glass of dry peas five times under running water, then immerse it in a saucepan, pour 4 glasses of water and leave it for the whole night. In the morning, drain the water and add clean peas to the peas so that it completely covers the peas. We put on fire, without closing the lid, cook the peas for half an hour, stirring occasionally and removing the foam. After the set time has elapsed, remove the porridge from the heat, add a pinch of salt and a little olive oil, mix.

Pea porridge is a very satisfying dish, for this reason you will be full for a long time.

Pea mash

Pour one glass of washed dry peas with two glasses of water and leave for 12 hours, then drain the liquid and add three glasses of clean water to the pan. We put on a slow fire and cook mashed potatoes for two to three hours, periodically removing the foam. In the middle of cooking, you need to add 2 tbsp to the peas. l. olive oil. 10 minutes before cooking, add a pinch of salt. When the puree is cooked, you need to remove it from the heat and let it brew for at least half an hour. Slightly cooled peas should be crushed in a saucepan, like ordinary puree, rubbed through a sieve, or use a blender.

boiled peas

Cooking boiled peas practically does not differ from the two previous recipes - soaking, boiling for half an hour or an hour, adding oil. Only already cooked peas do not need to be crushed, grinded, crushed and mixed, but simply eaten as a hearty snack or added to a salad.

diet salad

  • Canned peas - 200 grams.
  • Cabbage - 300 grams.
  • Onion - 1 pc.
  • Egg - 2 pcs.
  • Olive oil.
  • Greens - to taste.
  • Salt.

Boil hard-boiled eggs, peel the onion and cut the ingredients into small cubes. Grind cabbage, greens, mix all the components of the salad, add a pinch of salt and season with a little olive oil.

How to use

You can use peas for weight loss in different ways - on the basis of a pea diet, fasting days, or as a replacement for one of the main dishes.

Pea diet

Variety for the week

This is the least rigid diet, designed for 7 days, during which you can alternate several dishes at your discretion.

  1. Breakfast: oatmeal with chopped apples.
  2. Afternoon snack: kefir.
  3. Lunch: porridge / mashed peas.
  4. Dinner: boiled chicken breast / salad with canned peas / diet fish soup / fruit salad.

Mono diet for 3 days

This is a fairly complex diet, but it lasts only three days, during which you can only eat pea porridge or mashed potatoes three times a day and drink plenty of water.

Fasting days

To cleanse the body and gain lightness, you can arrange fasting days (no more than two), for example, on weekends. That is, for 5 days of the week you need to eat right, eat low-calorie foods, and the next one or two days, eat only salad with canned peas and drink plenty of water.

As an aid

If you are on a different diet, then peas can be a great weight loss aid. Since the product has a large amount of protein, it can be safely consumed in the evening (100–200 grams), when hunger torments the most during the diet. A small handful of fresh peas can instantly satisfy hunger, saturate the body and not add extra pounds.

Contraindications and possible harm

If you have the following signs, you should abandon the pea diet, as well as fasting days on peas:

  • Individual intolerance or allergic reaction to the product.
  • The period of pregnancy and lactation.
  • Diseases of the gastrointestinal tract.
  • Urolithiasis disease.
  • Diabetes.
  • Gout.
  • Nephritis.
  • Cholecystitis.
  • Age over 60 and under 3 years old.

Flatulence (bloating) is the accumulation of too much air in the intestines. It manifests itself through the swallowing of air (aerophagia) or the possible abundant (“explosive”) release of digestive gases (the so-called flatulence)

With the abuse and overeating of peas, as well as dishes based on it, bloating and severe gas formation may occur.

Reviews of those who have lost weight

Advice from my personal experience. It can be useful. You can lose weight perfectly on pea porridge. It is much more satisfying, it can be flavored with dill or pepper. And, most importantly, it is rich in vegetable protein and low in calories.

I tried the pea diet, the one that lasts seven days. In general, I love peas, especially canned ones. I used pea soup (I ate without bread, even without black, otherwise increased gas formation in the intestines would begin), at other times I ate canned peas either with boiled chicken breast or with steam fish. Eat little by little, do not fill the stomach to capacity. I drank a lot of water and green tea. Sweets were banned, she ate bananas and persimmons. The result for the week is minus 2 kilograms. I'm glad!

Sometimes there were uncontrolled bouts of bloating, but only after I sometimes overate pea porridge. And if there are dishes with peas in moderation, then there will be no special side effects. The food system is affordable and effective - I advise everyone!

The use of peas and dishes based on it for weight loss is not new, since such diets and fasting days, light snacks have long been known and are still popular due to the unique healing and cleansing properties of peas. The beauty of pea diets is that you won’t have to starve throughout the course, as peas saturate the body and dull the feeling of hunger, and at the same time, the product consists almost entirely of protein - an absolutely safe component for a slim figure.

Is it possible to eat peas while losing weight

All legumes, including peas, have always been part of a healthy diet. First of all, they are a source of high quality protein. Peas contain eight amino acids (including deficient and much-needed lysine), choline, which is essential for maintaining liver health. Lysine is needed for the production of antibodies, hormones, enzymes, has antiviral and immunomodulatory effects, promotes tissue repair.

And there are more proteins in peas than in beef. But, unlike animal protein, vegetable protein is absorbed much better. In terms of calories, it exceeds meat by half, as it contains a lot of carbohydrates. At the same time, peas are a dietary product that reduces blood sugar levels.

Peas: benefits for weight loss and for the heart

Peas, present in the diet, have a positive effect on the cardiovascular system - it slows down the formation of atherosclerotic plaques on the walls of blood vessels, normalizes blood pressure due to the large amount of potassium. A serving of boiled peas contains about 20% of your daily potassium requirement. It also has a lot of fiber, which helps lower cholesterol levels, and this also has a positive effect on blood vessels and the heart. The same serving of boiled peas will provide approximately 65% of the fiber requirement.

This is an easily digestible product that normalizes metabolism, strengthens the walls of blood vessels, and slows down the aging process.

By the way, the fiber in peas is quite unusual - it becomes gel-like, while binding excess bile and removing it from the body. And insoluble fibers act like a broom, removing everything unnecessary from the intestines.

Dried peas: benefits for the body

In order for peas not to lose their properties for several months, they must be stored in a tightly closed container (in a glass jar). In dry peas, the sugar content is reduced, but the content of proteins and carbohydrates is increased.

Before cooking, dry peas are first soaked in water for 2-3 hours, and then boiled until soft. Diet mashed pea soup is made from it, side dishes, dietary pea puree, used as a filling in dumplings and pies. There is even pea flour, using which you will add a new taste to your usual dishes.
