1. Introduction.

Currently, our society is showing great interest in dances of various styles and directions. This is due to the numerous shows that are shown on television: “Dancing” on TNT, “You are super! Dancing", "Dancing with the Stars", with the desire to lead healthy lifestyle life, to be beautiful, healthy, fashionable. Young people through choreography, using the plasticity of their bodies, express their feelings, views on life. Dance has become an integral part of youth culture. Accordingly, the speech included the names of dances unknown to our parents, grandparents. But the names of the dances of their era have not disappeared from the language.

Having become interested in the topic of dance names, we found out that it is difficult for a modern young person to find available information on this issue. There is little work in this direction.

We believe that a person engaged in choreography, who loves dance, must not only master the technique of its performance, but also understand the meaning of its name, know its origin. This is the only way to comprehend the "soul" of the dance.

Our study will be of interest to everyone involved in choreography, who is trying to learn as much as possible about their hobby, including from the point of view of the Russian language.

The relevance of our work due, on the one hand, to the important place occupied by choreography, dance, in the life of modern society, on the other hand, by the need for a partial lexical analysis of the names of modern dances, their systematization, since there are no available, written in popular language, works in this direction.

Research problem: the need to create a Popular Dictionary of Modern Dance Names for all those interested in choreography.

Purpose of the study: to create a manual, Popular Dictionary containing a lexical analysis of the names of modern dances.

Object of study: names of modern dances.

Research objectives:

To study the literature, which contains a lexical analysis of the names of dances that are popular in modern society.

Give definitions to the names of modern dances, having studied the history from the origin and appearance in Russia.

Select material for compiling the Popular Dictionary of Modern Dance Names.

Learn the rules for compiling a dictionary entry.

Compile a Popular Dictionary of Modern Dance Names in alphabetical order.

Practical significance of our work lies in the fact that anyone interested in choreography can find in our Popular Dictionary the definition of the desired modern dance.

Research methods: study of scientific and popular literature, analysis, search and comparative analysis, systematization and generalization of information.

2. The degree of study of the names of modern dances in scientific and popular literature.

Having asked the question of compiling the Popular Dictionary of Modern Dances, we decided to analyze the literature on this issue and available to the young reader. It should be noted that there are few such works.

First of all, I would like to highlight the "Concise Dictionary of Dances" edited by Professor A.V. Filippov. It is positioned as a popular science edition of cultural and philological orientation, intended for everyone who is interested in culture. In this source we find a huge variety of dances of the peoples of the world with an indication of their origin, a detailed description. At the same time, there is not a single popular modern name for a dance or dance direction, such as “twerg”, “hip-hop”, etc.

We tried to find definitions of modern dances in various dictionaries of foreign words. We turned to the "New Dictionary of Foreign Words" edited by Zakharenko E.N., to the "Modern Dictionary of Foreign Words" edited by Krysin L.P. , to the "School Dictionary of Foreign Words". These publications also could not help us in determining the lexical meaning of the names we needed.

Thus, we came to the conclusion that information about the names of modern dances and trends can only be found in articles from popular publications, on Wikipedia pages, and that our work on compiling the Popular Glossary of Modern Dance Names will be appropriate, relevant and in demand.

3. Review of the names of modern dances, their origin and features of use in Russian.

Modern youth dance is a rhythmic, bright phenomenon that allows you to get rid of everyday problems and, at the same time, requires great physical effort and work on yourself.

Dancing has now combined all possible historical forms: primitive, folklore, ballroom, sports. All dance styles and directions have a tendency to mix, penetrate each other.

There are no geographical and political borders for dance, therefore, in Russia in XX-XXI centuries"gushed" a stream of foreign-language names of modern dances. Leonid Petrovich Krysin wrote about this phenomenon in his work “On the Russian Language of Our Days”, explaining this process by the intensification of relations with native speakers. foreign languages after the collapse of the USSR. These foreign words (terms) completely retain traces of their origin and have not yet been assimilated into the Russian language.

Most of the names of modern dances (dance directions) came from the English language. This is hip-hop hip hop), dancehall (eng. Dancehall), vogue (eng. vogue), breaking Breakdance), contemp (eng. contemporary dance), house (English) house), trans (English) Trance), locking (eng. Locking), jumpstyle (eng. jump style), tectonist (distorted English. Tectonic), waking (eng. Waacking), drum and bass (eng. DrumandBassstep), half-dance (English . Poledance), twerk (eng. Twerk).

There are names that came from French (electro), Japanese (buto), Maori (haka).

Interestingly, there are no analogues of these terms in Russian yet.

All the above names of modern dances and dance styles will be reviewed and described on the pages of our Popular Dictionary. But before proceeding to its creation, you need to study the rules for writing a dictionary entry.

4. Rules for compiling a dictionary entry.

The words in the Dictionary are in alphabetical order. A dictionary entry is built as follows: an etymological reference (information about the origin of the word) is placed behind the heading word, then - interpretation, examples of the use of the word. An indication of belonging to a particular field of knowledge and stylistic characteristics are subject to interpretation. Sometimes at the word, instead of a detailed interpretation, a reference to another dictionary entry is given.

The title word is in bold capital letters and stands in its original form with an accent. The spelling of words and stress correspond to the current spelling and pronunciation standards. Etymological reference is given after the head word in square brackets. Each word is accompanied by an indication of the source of the borrowing.

Due to the ultra-fast pace of hardcore compositions, which is equal to 150-200 beats per minute, the movements of the dance style itself are also quite energetic: their frequency should coincide with the main bass beats of the composition. Hakku includes a number of elements that form the basis of this dance, the rest is improvisation. Improvisation is carried out within the strict framework of the hardcore subculture. The basic movement of this style is a rhythmic stepping of the legs with periodic throwing them one after the other. From time to time, new foot movements (throws) are added to the dance. The dancer's hands are in free flight, this is pure improvisation. The main thing is that they emphasize the musical pattern of the work, repeat the rhythm of the melody.

HA "US [English House] is a dynamic and positive dance style. It was born when house music appeared - in the 80s. House music is very fast, rhythmic, energetic, and so is the dance style born of it - house. This style is composed of dance movements of breakdance, hip-hop, jazz, disco, latin, which makes it one of the most interesting and popular dance styles.Dance house at the beginning of its development was hard and sharp, the movements were performed with strained hands and clearly fixed, the body had to be rigid, and the gait - solid. Gradually, the movements of the dance became more plastic, free, relaxed. Soft, springy movements of the legs appeared, a gait repelled from the floor. A peculiar swing and wide amplitude movements of the body and arms were preserved. House dance moves are based on three basic elements.

The first one is house jacking ), that is, rocking the body to the rhythm of the music.

Movements should be smooth and fast, they involve the pelvis, back, neck.

    Conclusion

In our work, we studied the literature on the names of modern dances that have recently entered our lives and, consequently, our language. It turned out that there are practically no such works. A person who is passionate about choreography has to collect material bit by bit.

Having studied the rules for compiling a dictionary entry, we created our own Popular Dictionary of Modern Dance Names, which includes 15 concepts.

Our Dictionary will soon be printed in 10 copies to replenish the library of the Smelovskaya secondary school, to be presented to the head and members of the dance group of modern choreography, which the author visits.

Our Glossary will be updated with new concepts.

The concept of "modern dances" is quite broad. It combines both styles that have recently appeared and dances that, like a little black dress, do not lose their relevance in any era, because they stand above fashion and time. The first case is jazz-funk, anime, dubstep, lady style, modern and many others. The second is the waltz, foxtrot and other classics that were born sixty, eighty, even a hundred years ago, but are still in demand. Thus, any dance that meets current trends in music and gives the performer the opportunity to express themselves will be modern.

It is difficult to imagine life without movement, and it is not necessary. And dance steps are the perfect way out for those who want to diversify their movements, enjoy them and simply benefit their health. What types of modern dances are popular today?

Choose to your liking

It is difficult to imagine life without movement, and it is not necessary. And dance steps are the perfect way out for those who want to diversify their movements, enjoy them and simply benefit their health. The following can be distinguished (the list covers the most popular styles):

  • All types of ballet.
  • Ballroom standard program - Europe.
  • Ballroom standard program - Latin America.
  • Street dance.
  • "Latinos".
  • Swings. A large group that combines swing, boogie-woogie, Charleston, balboa, lindy-hop. Sometimes rock and roll is referred to as "swing".
  • Vanguard. The brightest representative is butoh, a crazy experiment of Japanese choreographers.
  • A group of so-called philosophical styles - trance, modern, contemporary and others. They are based on free improvisation, which allows the artist to realize and express himself. This group is characterized by the rejection of canonical movements and a sound accompaniment in which rhythm is accentuated rather than melody.
  • Electrodance. This includes tectonics, electro proper, and their numerous varieties.
  • Club dances.

Diversity types of dance art strikes the imagination and allows everyone to decide what he likes more - Latina that does not lose its popularity or sexy bachata, free hip-hop or dynamic jive. The number of directions is such that it is quite difficult to answer the question in one article, what types of dances are quite difficult - more than one book can be written about this. That is why you should first decide which direction is the most interesting for you. Of course, it is important to take into account the level of training of the future dancer, and the state of health, and even character.

Professionals advise: when choosing a dance for yourself, try to understand its philosophy. The best way to do this is to plunge into history. The reasons for the appearance of the dance, the environment in which it arose, its origins explain almost all the basic movements, make them understandable, and therefore accessible and easy to perform. We can say that it is history that makes it easier for an artist to train and leads him to victory in competitions.

All to the street!

First of all, it is worth mentioning the so-called street dances. Of course, this is a somewhat arbitrary concept, and it does not mean at all that training must take place in the open. On the contrary, for hip-hop, locking or hustle you will also need dance studio space rental, but initially they were danced on the street. This type also includes breakdancing, popping and krump.

these dances have a common feature - they are born from a hurricane of emotions, from the desire of the performer not to be like everyone else. In the 70s - 80s of the last century, with the help of street "dance", young people found out which of them was the leader. It was a peculiar way of resolving conflicts: the one who got the victory during the battle (spontaneous dance competition) won the argument. The same role was once played by tango in Latin America: instead of grabbing knives, figuring out who the truth is, temperamental machos went to the nearest flat area and tried to surpass each other in the beauty and complexity of the passages.

The pattern of street dance determines the momentary mood of the dancer. It is performed for pleasure, without regard to strict norms and standards.

sultry dancing

It is this name that can characterize the Latino group, which is very numerous. All the dances included in it are a sensual passion expressed in the movements of the dancers' bodies. This is a real body language that conveys even hidden emotions. It includes tango, lambada, bachata, cha-cha-cha, rumba, bolero, flamenco, samba. In addition, capoeira is sometimes referred to this group. In addition, capoeira is sometimes referred to this group. Some dances are included in the Latin American ballroom standard.

The Latino group almost in full force came from Brazil, where the Spanish conquerors brought many black slaves in the 16th century. From the mixing of Portuguese and African rhythms, dances were born, which we now call samba, rumba, lambada.

Ballroom Europe

Viennese waltz, foxtrot, quickstep - all these are also types of modern dances. Their names are known to anyone who has ever watched the competition of couples on the dance floor. Most ballroom dances have a venerable age, but they do not lose their relevance. The beauty of movements, the perfection of the drawing, the amazing combination of smoothness and swiftness, accentuated grace and inner fire will always attract performers.

Almost all of this group comes from Europe. Waltz, for example, came from Germany, quickstep - presumably from Great Britain, Viennese waltz - from Austria. They are included in the so-called European standard program. Their performance is subject to very strict canons, but this in no way detracts from the freedom of the dancers' creativity, but on the contrary, it encourages them to reveal new facets of their mastery.

For the beauty of the female body

Among the types of modern dances, a special place is occupied by those options that are performed by the fair sex and fully demonstrate the beauty and grace of the body. Naturally, this is strip dancing, pole dancing, belly dancing. Go-go is also referred to them.

Go-go has quite an interesting history. He appeared in one of the clubs in New York in the 60s of the twentieth century. Once at a party, desperate clubbers (female regulars) began to jump on the tables and dance the twist. They were wearing low-heeled go-go boots. The initiative was liked by all those present and was adopted by the club administration. It began to practice a special dance, warming up visitors before the start of the main show. He got the name go-go, which has survived to this day. Now the art of go-go is the ability to move to club music, improvising in exact accordance with it.

A little bit of everything

Other trends are quite popular today, for example, tectonics, electro, contemporary, jumpstyle. However, other, although not so young, dances also have their fans (boogie-woogie, Charleston, rock and roll). Finally, do not forget about the pinnacle of art - dance-improvisation, where the performer can reveal his soul and express his own emotions in every step. However, if the melody sounds in the heart, then any dance will become like that.

The most desperate gravitate towards the avant-garde and master butoh - an incredible combination of pre-war German expression and expressive conventions drawn from the practice of Japanese Noh and Kabuki theaters.

Butoh focuses on the human body, not on its movements. It does not feature active jumping or spinning, instead the performers assume carefully controlled static poses. They make slow gestures with their hands, freeze in a stance or crouch, showing no intention of getting up again. Their body turns into a passionless mirror reflecting strong emotions: fear, love, joy, rage. Viewers are encouraged to enjoy these experiences.

Finally, do not forget about the pinnacle of art - dance-improvisation, where the performer can reveal his soul and express his own emotions in every step. Modern dances are the most different types and which one to choose is up to you. The main thing is that it brings joy and satisfaction, opens up opportunities for creativity. However, if the melody sounds in the heart, then any dance will become like that.

What kind of activity can be a good way to keep yourself fit and have fun at the same time? Of course it's dancing! For some, it's just a passion and favorite hobby, for some it's a profession, and for some it's a way to gain new skills and gain self-confidence. If you want to join the ranks of dancers and choose a dance to your liking, we will tell you which types of modern dances are especially popular now.

Waltz

This graceful and elegant dance was first presented to the public in the middle of the 19th century and was widely spread thanks to the music of the famous composer Johann Strauss. It is characterized by slow smooth movements and long turns. Waltzing couples look like they are effortlessly gliding across the parquet.

Now the waltz is considered the gold standard of ballroom dancing and the most common style to learn among the population.

Tango

Perhaps everyone has heard of such a reverent dance as the Argentine tango. The popularity of tango in the 21st century has only increased due to its popularization in the films Let's Dance, Mr. and Mrs. Smith, Scent of a Woman and others. In tango, a man and a woman show their passion and express deep feelings for each other.

The movements in this dance are free, rhythmic and abrupt. Tango is considered one of the most passionate dances due to the nature of the music that accompanies it and the closeness in the dance between partners.

Foxtrot

A beautiful romantic dance that has become one of the most popular ballroom dances in history. It is based on fairly simple combinations of slow and fast dance steps, walking and lateral, and is characterized by ease and smoothness of movements.

The foxtrot is danced mainly to swing music, although you can experiment with musical accompaniment.

Rumba

Rumba is considered one of the sexiest ballroom dances and is also a popular social dance - one that is used not only in the dance competition program, but also as a form of leisure. Rumba is characterized by very slow, fluid hip movements and heavy offensive steps.

This dance is interesting to watch, because it is built on passion and sensuality, and carries the theme of flirting: a woman in a dance flirts with a man, and then rejects him, and the man still tries to win her heart.

salsa

This type of modern dance comes from Cuba. Sensual and energetic salsa can be performed with elements of improvisation, but usually the choreography is set in advance. It is most often danced to salsa music, although many people dance it to Latin American music in the same way.

Salsa, in turn, is divided into other types: linear and circular. The first is danced along one line, and the second is danced around its axis.

paso doble

Paso doble depicts a bullfight - a man plays the role of a fearless matador, and a woman - his cloak, less often - another matador or bull. In paso doble, there is one step for each count, which resembles the marching steps “one-two”, and in Spanish “paso doble” just means “double step”.

Paso Doble is theatrical and passionate. The movements in this dance are sharp and clear, imbued with a sense of dignity, confidence and arrogance, with straight shoulders and a high head raised.

Belly dance

Belly dance, or oriental dance, is popular not only in Arab countries and in the Middle East, but also here. There are about 50 different styles of oriental dance.

It's not only beautiful view dance, but also a great way to keep yourself in good shape due to the appropriate load on the abdominal muscles. This plastic type of dance is characterized by swinging hips, undulating movements of the abdomen and smooth movements of the hands.

Modern

Speaking about the types of modern dances, one cannot help but recall modern. It emerged as an opposition to ballet and pays more attention to the mood, emotions of the dancer and his own interpretations than to structured choreography.

Modern is often performed barefoot. It is also opposed to ballet in that modern dancers often use the weight of their body in dance to emphasize some moment, drama - in ballet, dancers always keep themselves on their feet easily and smoothly.

Jazz

Jazz, along with modern, represents the types of modern dances based on ballroom techniques and is similar to it in that performing this style, the dancer demonstrates his own originality and interprets all movements in his own unique style.

It is an energetic and fun dance, with unique moves, bizarre footwork, big jumps and sharp turns, so a jazz dancer must have ballet training to achieve stability and grace in movement.

Brakedance

The types of modern dance presented would not be complete without the hip-hop dance styles that evolved from the corresponding musical movement that emerged in the 1970s. Breakdancing was formed along with hip-hop music early stages development and is the oldest of all hip-hop dances.

The component levels of this style are top-rock (running before the lower level of breaking, performing elements on the floor), footwork (footwork), power moves (power rotational movements and twists) and freeze (the dancer freezes in some position for a while). All levels, in turn, consist of a wide variety of individual elements.

The performance of this dance implies good physical preparation, endurance, plasticity and stretching.

krump

Crump was formed in disadvantaged areas of the United States against the backdrop of street violence and robberies. It is generally accepted that krump is a rather aggressive type of dance, although it rather expresses not aggression, but strength.

The movements in the krump are sharp, concentrated, fast and very energetic. As in other hip-hop styles, krump dancers often arrange dance duels - battles in which they compete in technique and general dance skill.

Locking

Locking owes its origin to the American dancer Don Campbell. One day, he decided to show his friends what different styles he had learned, and began to dance improvisations, sometimes stopping when he did not know what else to do. These intermittent movements were called "locks", and the style was called locking (from the English "lock" - "castle").

In addition to such movements, this type of modern dance is characterized by splits and hand claps.

Popping

Types of modern hip-hop dances are also represented by popping - a style that appeared along with locking in the 70s of the last century.

The name comes from the English word "pop", which means clap - during the performance, the dancer compresses and unclenches the muscles of different parts of the body, imitating a sharp start. Although the main movement of popping is the same "pop", this dance is also divided into types, including many different techniques.

reggaeton

Reggaeton is an incendiary dance mix that contains such types of modern dances as dancehall, hip-hop and reggae. The style originally originated in Panama and Puerto Rico. The daring and erotic movements of reggaeton have recently not left the public indifferent - in just a few years it has reached unprecedented popularity, and reggaeton groups in dance studios are packed to capacity.

And ballroom, and street, and many other types of modern dance do not lose their popularity and continue to win the attention of active people around the world. If you also want to learn how to dance, choose a direction based on personal preferences in music, the pace of the dance, and the possible level of physical activity required to master a particular dance style.

Dance is an ancient sacrament that has remained one of the most important parts of human communication for endless centuries. Starting from the most ancient times to the present day, through dance, a person wants to express the richest range of feelings, demonstrate his beauty, grace and good physical shape. But each type of movement is fraught with a special energy. To understand all the nuances, you must first study what dances are.

Dance of today

Since man lives in modern world, then it’s worth dwelling in more detail on modern dances. Oddly enough, ballet contributed significantly to their emergence. Or rather, the inaccessibility of its performance for the average layman. The need to express one's feelings and emotions in a harmonious movement resulted in the emergence of various trends in modern dance culture.

Each type of modern dance combines long-known movements, new elements, music with the necessary rhythm and, of course, a powerful charge of positive energy. Through movements, a person has learned to express his freedom, views on life, reflect himself in society and the place of society in his inner world.

Types of modern dance

With a detailed consideration of all areas of modern dance, several main ones can be distinguished:

  • ballroom,
  • club,
  • oriental.

The club style in movements singled out among the general mass:

  • tectonics - the main movement is rocking back and forth, called "kach". The techno set of movements gives depth and variety to this dance. In general, the tectonik itself is close to hip-hop in character.

Latin American passions

Passionate, emotional, hot natures are ideal for a Latin American dance program. And if at dance tournaments an important evaluative factor is the technique of performance, then at non-professional venues and parties in the Latino style, the main component of this performance from body movements is the utmost emotionality. Without exception, all Latin American dances, like the music of these peoples, are based on the passion of two hearts and love for their native land.

So, what are the Latin dances everyone knows. It is much more interesting to analyze the popularity of specific species among the current generation living on other continents.

Some of the most popular and favorite are:

  • bachata,
  • rumba,
  • mambo,
  • salsa,
  • flamenco,
  • lpmbada,
  • pachanga,

A special place on the dance floors and in the hearts of people is given to paso doble. Its main movement is the "double step" (hence the name), other movements are similar to flamenco and fandango.

Paso Doble is a deep, dramatic story of a brave bullfighter and his passion - capote (the red cloth with which he flirts with death). The man in this dance is bold, proud, strong, self-confident and reckless. A woman is a thin line between life and death. The bullfighter turns out to be, on the one hand, a brave winner, then on the other, blinded and enslaved by the sharpness of feelings. He and she here merge into one unusually bright ball of energy.

This dance is able to charm any woman, therefore, having learned how to perform it, a man will be the winner not only of the dance bullfight, but also of the heart of his beloved.

The most popular dance in the world

Hip-hop is both a dance style and a whole cultural trend that many older generations consider "uncivilized". The cradle of hip-hop culture is the outskirts of New York, where rebellious teenagers were looking for their own way not only to declare themselves to the world, but to express their attitude towards it - unfair, corrupt, cruel to the weak. But, having fallen for the bait of fashion, from the protest movement, hip-hop became part of the industry. Hip-hop dance style is a democratic mix of many techniques. There is a place for break, popping, locking, flexing. Typical for hip-hop and dance duels, called battles.

Argentine tango is popular in the square. After all, this is the most common style of one of the most recognizable dances in the world. Unlike ballroom tango, which requires serious physical and choreographic training, Argentine tango is available to everyone. There are no memorized links in this dance, it is based on improvisation, built on mutual understanding of partners. This is a social dance that allows you to meet and communicate, a beautiful way to spend your leisure time, slip away from the stress of ordinary life into the vibrant world of tango.

Gentle and romantic waltz dance, associated with the enchanting sounds of music, graceful movements, high-society balls, was considered scandalous at the beginning of its "career". High society was frapped by the fact that the partners danced too close, too fast, too flippant. Centuries have passed and the waltz has become the epitome of elegance, style and dignity. The waltz has several varieties, the most famous being the Viennese Waltz, the Figured Waltz, and the Boston Waltz.

Belly dance or bellydance is sophisticated and sensual. It is associated with languid, hairy beauties, bayadères and odalisques. However, belly dance was invented not so long ago, at the beginning of the 20th century, when a Lebanese actress figured out how to combine exotic oriental plastique with the technique familiar to Europeans. This is how a dance appeared, embodying the idea of a “white man” about forbidden, harem dances. There are three schools of ballidance: Egyptian, Arabic and Turkish. They differ not only in movements, but also in costumes. Belly dances are especially spectacular, in which girls use various accessories - tambourines, fans, sagats (an oriental variety of castanets), a live boa constrictor and even a burning flame.

Pole dance - pylon dance, pole dance or pole dance - some people have unambiguous associations. But he “divorced” a long time ago from strip shows and has the same attitude towards them as hot Latin American dances have. Pole dance is as much “about sex” as it is about plasticity, artistry, and the ability to control your body. It is impossible to dance half-dance without serious preparation. The seeming ease of the dancers sliding and soaring along the pole is the result of long trainings, carefully worked out techniques.

Rock and roll started with music. Stunningly new, catching a whole generation on the hook of a frantic, overflowing rhythm, rebellious, sexy, she demanded expression in movements and the same rebellious dance was born. Sports and energetic rock and roll includes many acrobatic elements: somersaults, jumps, throws, turns. It requires good physical preparation and endurance, an excellent sense of rhythm, but leaves a wide scope for self-expression and improvisation.

Hot, passionate, groovy booty dance is a dance of bold, self-confident women. Expressive movements of the hips and buttocks originate in the Latin American and African style of dance, where the dancers are not at all shy about demonstrating their “beautiful halves”. Do not think that "shaking the booty" is such a simple matter. All these "bumps", "vibrations", "waves" and "shocks" - the main elements of booty dance - require good coordination, the ability to move individual parts of the body, keeping the rest under control, long workouts.

Dynamic, vibrant, sensual salsa has grown from a galaxy of Cuban and Caribbean dances. As eponymous spicy sauce, she combined various elements-ingredients from cha-cha-cha, mamba, rumba, meringue and other dances. Salsa has very few conventions and a lot of improvisation. Here there is a place not only for energetic movements of the hips, but also for stylish turns of the head, flirtatious winks, intriguing plasticity of the hands. Salsa is a pair dance that allows you to get to know your partner better, learn to predict his movements.

Flamenco

Flamenco is not just a dance, it's a whole performance that includes playing the guitar, singing, and "el bale flamenco" itself. Proud posture, fractional stomping, expressive hand gestures, lightning-fast, polished movements, “boiling” frills of dresses - the outer side of flamenco. Dancers and dancers try to fully express the feelings invested in the song. Here is pain and delight, loneliness and love, despair and passion seething in the blood. An emotional, bright dance always ends with a rich chord, a cathartic catharsis that brings dancers and spectators out of the heat of emotions to calm joy. In Spain, the birthplace of flamenco, it is believed that young people cannot truly perform this dance virtuoso. And the point is not in technique, but in the fact that they still do not have the proper life experience to embody the restless soul of flamenco.
