How to stick false eyelashes correctly: step by step instructions

If you want to glue eyelashes at home, the first question that arises is what kind of glue is needed for this? When choosing an adhesive for false eyelashes, you should take into account the characteristics of your skin. If your skin is sensitive, choose a hypoallergenic glue. This is the best option for beginners who are not sure how their skin will react to an unusual cosmetic product.

If you're going to be spending the day outdoors, it makes sense to play it safe against bad weather and choose a waterproof glue that won't let you down even if you're out in the rain for an hour.

Depending on the consistency, eyelash glue is also divided into liquid and resin glue, but the latter is used less and less. Liquid formulas are easier to use and generally safer. However, glue isn't the only thing you'll need if you decide to apply false lashes yourself. You will also need:

  • Scissors

To trim or shorten band false lashes.

  • Tweezers

Allows you to stick false eyelashes as close as possible to real ones.

  • Cotton swabs

With their help, you can easily remove excess glue if you applied too much product to the eyelashes.

How to stick false eyelashes on yourself?

It is important to know that strip and tuft lashes are applied differently. We explain step by step what the specifics of each type are.

How to apply tape false eyelashes?

Before gluing eyelashes, apply makeup to the eyelids. If you are not planning anything bright, limit yourself to the base for shadows and beige shadows. Curl your lashes with a curler to create a supportive framework for false lashes. This way you will give your own lashes the same curve as artificial ones, and they will not look down, breaking out against the false background.

With a black eyeliner, paint over the space between the eyelashes and the mucosa on the upper eyelids. In the absence of gaps, false eyelashes will look natural on the eyes.

Draw a line along the eyelashes with a black liner, if desired, draw small arrows beyond the outer corners of the eyes. Such a "substrate" will create the basis for tape lashes and help them look like a single whole with a natural lash line.

Paint your lashes from root to tip. Do not apply mascara too thickly so that your eyelashes do not stand out against the false background, but gently merge with them.

The standard factory length of false eyelashes is excessive for most girls. Try on the eyelashes on your eye, stepping back 3-4 mm from the beginning of the eyelid. See if you need to reduce the length and by how much.

Cut off the excess with a small pair of scissors, but remember that you can only remove the length from the outer edge of the lashes. If you cut off a segment with small eyelashes at the inner part, after gluing the beginning of the eyelash row will look unnatural.

Apply a thin layer of glue all over the lash line and wait a few seconds for it to "seize". Start gluing the lashes from the outer corner, aligning your last lash with the end of the strip lashes. Place your lashes as close to yours as possible and press the base of the tape against the skin of the eyelid with your fingers, tweezers or brush handle.

Take your time and do not make sudden movements. In the first seconds, the eyelash glue is still mobile and you can have time to move the false eyelashes as close to your own as possible.

In addition, paint over the ciliary edge with black eyeliner if you find light gaps. Ready!

How to stick false eyelashes in bunches?

To begin with, as with the banded false lashes, apply makeup to your eyelids. Since lashes look more natural in tufts, makeup can be brighter. If you like smoky eyes or arrows, you can safely draw them.

Make sure you fill in the space between your lashes. In any case, there will be gaps between the lashes, and the eyeliner will visually hide them.

Squeeze some glue onto a metal plate or any surface that is comfortable for you.

Take a bunch of eyelashes with tweezers. Put it on your hand. Then again intercept it with tweezers so as to gently lower the base of the beam into the glue. Even a small drop will be enough. The main thing is not to overdo it, otherwise the glue will be not only on the eyelashes, but also on the eyelids.

Using tweezers, attach a bunch of false lashes to the root of your real lashes. Wait a couple of seconds for the glue to set and gently release the bundle.

Then take the next bunch and repeat this set of actions as many times as necessary to achieve the desired effect.
