How to apply false eyelashes correctly

False eyelashes are a real salvation for those girls who cannot boast of lush native eyelashes, but want to look bright at a solemn event or party.

It is convenient to glue them even at home, you just need to master a simple technology.

Types of false eyelashes

There are three types of false eyelashes in stores.

1.Single. You will have to tinker with them - they need to be glued one at a time, but a more natural and expressive look is obtained. Most often they are attached to the outer corner of the eye.

2.Beam. They are a bundle of several hairs. There are nodular bundles, at their base there is something similar to a knot. Without nodules are attached to a dense opaque base. To get a beautiful look, it is important to choose the right place for gluing. They are also suitable for creating an extravagant image, for example, for a photo shoot or performing on stage.

3.Tape. A number of eyelashes are attached to a flexible transparent base, which must be glued along the entire eyelid. They are the easiest to work with, they lay down evenly and look natural, besides, they allow you to cover the entire ciliary row as a whole. Tape eyelashes are best purchased in one of the options:

  • The first is the eyes elongated in the center and shorter at the edges - they visually reveal the look.
  • The second - elongated to the temple, lengthening to the outer edge - create a playful fox look.
According to the material from which the cilia are made, there are:
  • Artificial - may have a different degree of softness, but outwardly it is imperceptible.
  • Natural - they are usually made from mink or horsehair. Less popular than artificial ones, as they can cause allergies.

The most durable are eyelashes on a fishing line, but they have a shelf life of no more than six months. Eyelashes on a dense basis already after 2-3 months become unusable.

By choosing the right false eyelashes, you can correct the shape of the eye, for example, make it visually wider, in the case of deep-set eyes, make the look more expressive.

Choice of eyelash glue

Professionals and amateurs use two types of glue.

  • The first is latex. As a rule, it is sold in small tubes. It is easy to wash off cilia, convenient to use. It can be used for both natural and artificial materials. The composition includes rubber powder, which ensures the fixation of the bundles to the skin. Due to the thick consistency, it freezes for a long time.
  • The second is silicone-based, for example, the well-known Duo. It does not contain rubber, is transparent, hypoallergenic, resistant to water and other irritants. Not suitable for lash application.

Black glue is very convenient to use, as it deftly masks the areas between native and false eyelashes.

Even if you forget to rinse it off, the lashes can be used again. But it is better not to do this and wash off the glue after each use.

We glue false eyelashes at home

Consider how to stick tuft and strip eyelashes at home.

Glue the bundles

  1. We paint native eyelashes with mascara so that ours and false ones are the same color.
  2. We put a little glue on the hand.
  3. We take bunches. We pull them by the middle with our fingers, then we take them out of the package with tweezers. Dip the tip into the glue.
  4. Let's start from the outer corner of the eye, lower the beam right into the base of the native cilia. Eyelashes can be adjusted with your fingers so that they merge with relatives.
  5. For a thicker effect, turn your head to the side and glue the beam into the very corner.

We take less long eyelashes and glue the beam after the beam towards the inner corner of the eye. You should get thick eyelashes with a fox effect, if there is a need to expand the eye or another effect, glue the bunches according to a different scheme.

Extension - long bunches fall in the middle of the eye, puppet effect - all bunches of the same length with the maximum length of the cilia.

Some helpful tips!

  • The bundles are not attached to the skin of the eyelid, but to the eyelashes themselves.
  • To visually stretch the corner of the eye, we glue longer eyelashes in the very corner of the eye, and medium-length eyelashes closer to the center of the eyelid.
  • For everyday makeup, you can use two beams of medium length on the outer corner of the eye. This will be enough to open the eyes.
  • Too protruding hairs can be slightly trimmed.
  • You can apply a little mascara to make the beams brighter.

We glue tape eyelashes on corners

Step 1

We take a thin brush and black shadows. We apply light arrows on the eyelids, shade a little. Without them, the bonding point may be noticeable.

Step 2

We take the eyelashes, clean off the factory glue or the glue left after the previous use. We distribute the glue on the tape using a brush.

Step 3

We shift the tape through native eyelashes closer to the growth line of our eyelashes and first glue the corner to the eyelid, then the middle and the second edge.

After that, at the very roots, we connect our fingers to bring our eyelashes and false lashes together.

Tape are glued as close as possible to relatives. At first, out of habit, they can cause a little discomfort, but this quickly passes.

Step 4

We straighten the eyelashes with a brush and draw a feathered or clear arrow to hide the place of gluing.

Tip: To create a brighter look, for example, for a party, you can take long tape eyelashes and glue them according to the same algorithm.

Eyelash care

Proper care will keep the attractive appearance of false eyelashes and help extend their life.

  • First of all, it is necessary to wash them in warm soapy water after each use. Remove glue with tweezers, and dirt between the hairs with a toothbrush. After washing, place in the packaging in which they were sold.
  • While wearing, remember not to rub your eyes, as you can damage the cilia.
  • In no case should you sleep with such a "make-up". This is harmful to both artificial material and your eyes.
  • Avoid cosmetics containing oils. Instead, use products without greasy textures.
  • Use quality glue to avoid allergies.
  • Remember that sooner or later the cilia will peel off, and it is better to remove them in advance, otherwise you can get into an awkward situation. On average, artificial hairs last no more than two days.

What is an alternative to false eyelashes

You can lengthen your eyelashes and make them more magnificent in another way - to resort to extensions. Extension technology consists in adding artificial eyelashes to natural eyelashes.

At the same time, you can build up both individual cilia (the so-called eyelash extension), and whole bundles (beam).

It is important to understand that if gluing overhead materials can be mastered on your own, then extensions should be taken more seriously. Such a procedure should be performed by a professional master - a lashmaker.

Good specialists will select the appropriate type of extension, hair color and create a natural and at the same time expressive look.

Eyelash extension correction

The main difference between eyelash extensions and false eyelashes is in the lifespan. If invoices have to be removed after 1-2 days, then the accrued ones will last an average of two to three weeks.

It is during this period that native cilia grow, and with them artificial ones begin to loosen and fall out.

First correction most often carried out a week after the build-up, then the procedure is repeated less often - after two to three weeks.

During the correction, the master combs the cilia, removes those that should fall out soon.

Then it fills the empty space with new hairs, if necessary, corrects the previously selected design. The procedure takes about one hour.
